Currently, the County Commissioners meet weekly on Tuesdays beginning at 9:30 AM with the following exceptions: On the last Tuesday of every month the meetings are at night beginning at 7:00 PM with the Roads Board, followed by County Commissioners meeting at 7:30 PM. No meetings are scheduled between Christmas and New Year's Day.

Members
The Talbot County Council is comprised of five members elected to a four-year term. The Council President and Vice President are elected on a yearly basis. The members for the 2006 - 2010 term are as follows:

Meeting time
The Talbot County Council meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month beginning at 1:30 p.m. Both meeting dates are legislative days. For those months with five Tuesdays, the Council will not meet on the fifth Tuesday of the month. The Council will be meeting in work sessions on non-meeting days, on an as needed basis.
